About this Event:

If you have ever been curious about this fun wintertime activity, join MassWildlife’s Angler Education Program to learn all the basics of fishing on ice. You will learn how to feel safe and confident standing on the ice, as well as all the tools and techniques for catching fish thru the ice.

Participants must be at least 6 in order to receive fishing instruction, but family members of all ages are welcome to attend the event. Participants under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.

Overview:

Looking for a way to enjoy the outdoors? MassWildlife's Angler Education Program offers fishing events throughout the year including adult learn to fish classes, family fishing clinics, family fishing festivals. These events are free and open to all skill levels; no fishing license is required. You will learn how to set up your rod, tie knots, cast, identify fish, and much more.
